Carey Wasem, DVM
Dr. Wasem, a native of Aberdeen, South Dakota, is a 1990 graduate in veterinary medicine from the University of Minnesota. After four years as a practicing veterinarian in Sacramento, CA, he moved to the Zionsville area.
Dr. Wasem is currently chief veterinarian at the Zionsville Animal Hospital. His professional areas of special interest are canine and feline internal medicine, soft tissue injuries, and orthopedic surgery. Dr. Wasem has also hosted a weekly radio show, The Pet Doctor, on Indy station WIBC.
Dr. Wasem and his wife, Tracey, also a veterinarian, have two children, Rachel and Michael. They are also proud owners of Guiness, their very friendly (and rambunctious) Labrador Retriever and Niko and Lelo, their sibling Apple Head Siamese cats.
Dr. Wasem is an avid cyclist, ice hockey buff and water ski enthusiast who also enjoys trips back home to South Dakota.
Loren W. Noblitt, MS, DVM
A native of Michigan, Dr. Noblitt received his B. S. degree in Biology from the University of Michigan-Flint. He holds a Masters Degree from Purdue University in Veterinary Virology, where his research focused on manipulating viral DNA to treat human breast cancer cells carried by mice.
Dr. Noblitt worked in research for a little over a year before returning to earn his DVM from the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Dr. Noblitt is interested in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, as well as alternative medicine such as stem cell therapy and platelet rich plasma. He joined Zionsville Animal Hospital in 2011.
An avid golfer, Dr. Noblitt also enjoys softball, Scabble, playing guitar, and spending time with his wife, Dennae, their daughter, Isabelle (Izzy) and son Luke. The Noblitt family also includes two Golden Retrievers, Indy and Riley, and their cat Lily.
Patti Ferguson, Practice Manager
Patti has been with Zionsville Animal Hospital since 2002. She has a 25 year background in banking and serves as the hospital's manager. She is a member of the VMAI, a local veterinary manager's group and VHMA, a national veterinary manager's association where she also serves as a member of the board. Patti was the recipient of the Zionsville Chamber of Commerce Dahlia Excellence in Service award for 2014.
Patti shares her personal space with numerous kitty cats and is "Mom" to one human daughter, Meghan, who is recently engaged and is busy helping her plan a wedding next Spring. She is an avid reader and enjoys gardening, dining out, and movies.
